In addition, Dr. Timothy “TJ” Leonard shares his love of promoting live music events as the founder of ConnArtists Concerts in Southbury, CT.
Unless a live music event features huge performers, the event will need some promotion. This is best done early on since promoting requires a good amount of effort. Ideally, performances must be publicized starting at least a month ahead of the concert date. This gives performers and venues plenty of time to gradually increase the number of notices they give out as the date grows closer. Doing so builds excitement without spamming customers.
It’s also important to consider where to promote live concert events. Online advertising is growing in popularity. Such posts are more easily shared among audiences to further spread the word, and creating an event on social media is a straightforward experience. This does not however mean ignoring traditional forms of advertising. In fact, physical advertising is still great for reaching a local audience.
